This is the first mid-life facelift for the second-generation Honda Amaze, which was launched in 2018, and the updated model comes with several styling changes and some new and revised features.
Honda car India has launched the Amaze Facelift in the country with a tagline of ‘Jeete Hain Shaan Se‘. The facelift version continues to be offered in four trims - E, S, V and VX with both petrol and diesel engine options.
The 2021 Honda Amaze retains most of the older design elements, but the manufacturer has introduced a bunch of premium exterior features. These include, a new front grille with new chrome slat, dual-tone alloy wheels, dual-tone 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, automatic LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and front fog lamps.
At the rear, it gets C-shaped LED taillights along with new chrome garnishes and reflectors on the bumper.
On the inside, the layout and design elements remains mostly identical. However, Honda has added satin silver accents to the dashboard and the steering wheel which contrasts well with the black and beige interior. Another major In terms of feature, the Amaze offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice command, climate control, projector headlamps, push-button start, and more.
Other safety features include dual airbags, high speed alert, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera with multi-view and guidelines and seatbelt reminder.
It also sees the addition of front map lamps, new inside lining on the trunk lid and dust and pollen filter. The top-end variant gets exclusive new beige seat fabrics with stitching.
There's no change on the mechanical front. That means it continues with the 1.2 litre petrol engine, 90hp, 110Nm that comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine, produces 100hp and 200Nm of torque when paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox with an optional CVT automatic gearbox in both cases.
We expect the 2021 Honda Amaze to be priced Rs 30,000 - Rs 60,000 higher than the outgoing model, depending upon the variant.
