What Happens If You Don’t Pay Your Noida Challan

Within 60 days of challan issue: You can pay without any penalty via online or offline methods.

After 60 days: Challan is forwarded to traffic court; you may receive a legal notice or summons.

After receiving court summons: Must appear in court (physically or virtually); delay may increase fine or add charges

Continued non-payment after summons: May lead to suspension of driving licence or RC-related issues.

Repeated major violations (3 times/year): Licence can be cancelled as per Noida traffic enforcement rules.

Long-term pending challans: Vehicle may be blacklisted; renewal of insurance or transfer of ownership gets blocked.
How to Pay Noida Challan Offline
If you would like to pay your traffic challan in person, there are some offline methods available in Noida.
At Noida Traffic Police Office
Go to the Noida Traffic Police Office closest to you. You can visit with your challan copy or vehicle number. They will accept payment in cash or by card, and you will get a receipt for your payment immediately.
At Designated Lok Adalats or Court (if referred)
You will have to go to the specified traffic court or Lok Adalat in Noida to clear your fine if your challan's appearance for court or Lok Adalat is marked. You will have to complete the fine as per the official process.
To On-Duty Traffic Police with POS Device
If you are stopped by traffic police for a violation, who issue a challan on the spot, you can pay immediately via a hand-held POS machine using UPI, debit card, or cash (if they take it). Be sure to ask for a printed receipt or only an SMS confirmation as proof of payment.
How to Dispute a Wrong Noida Challan
If you have received a Noida challan by mistake, you can submit a formal dispute to have it rectified or cancelled. This is how it is done:
Verify the Challan
Go to the Parivahan e-Challan portal or CarInfo app and verify all the details of the challan such as vehicle number, place, date, and violation type to see that it does not belong to you or was issued wrongly.
Gather Evidence
Take clear pictures of your vehicle and documents such as:
• Certificate of Registration (RC) and driving licence
• Proof of location (if you were at a different location at the time)
• Proof of any previous payments (if you have already paid, they likely offered a receipt or some type of proof).
This will help you support your dispute.File a Dispute or Raise a Complaint
You can raise your dispute in the following ways:
• Go to the nearest Noida Traffic Police office and provide written application with the documents
• Email your complaint with the information and evidence to UP Traffic Police
• Raise a grievance online through the UP Police Public Grievance website
Be sure to raise the dispute prior to making any payment, as paid challans are generally considered accepted.
Track the Status Online
After you have submitted your complaint, then check the grievance portal or emailed to see whether either the challan is being reviewed; the grievance has been accepted; or whether the grievance has been rejected.
Keep Copies of All Documents
Keep copies of your application, screenshots, emails and acknowledgement receipts, in case it went further or you needed to prove something again.
Follow Up With Authorities
If you have not heard anything in 7-15 working days, check back in the same way (email, grievance portal, or by visiting the Noida Traffic Police office again).
