TS E Challan (ఇ చలాన్): Check and Pay E Challan Telangana Online
An e challan Telangana is a digital traffic ticket issued by the Telangana Traffic Police, and it is issued when a driver has violated traffic rules. Examples of violations include overspeeding, jumping signals, triple riding a two wheeler, and riding without wearing a helmet or not wearing a seatbelt. The TS e challan system uses CCTV footage and smart technology to detect violations and maintain digital records of the violations.
For the vehicle owners, checking Telangana e challan and making challan payment online is now possible at the click of a button using their phone or computer. The best part is there is no need to travel to the police station in person. The system will operate across all the corners of Telangana cities like Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, and Nizamabad. 12 Point Penalty System In Telangana Traffic Challans
The Telangana Traffic Police have established a penalty points system to keep track of repeated traffic violators. Every time a driver violates a traffic law penalty points are added to their driving license which may vary depending on the severity of the traffic violation. As a rule of thumb, the more serious the violation, the more penalty points are incurred.
If the driver collects too many points in a limited time frame, their driving license may be suspended or cancelled entirely, which aims to promote safer driving and deter repeated traffic offenses.
How It Works
- 01 1-5 points for each violation depending on severity.
- 02 For example, not wearing a helmet may incur 2 penalty points, but drunk driving would incur 5 penalty points.
- 03 If the driver collects 12 penalty points in a 24-month period, their license will be suspended for one year.
- 04 If the repeat offender collects 12 penalty points again, they will face a 2-3 year suspension.
- 05 If the traffic violation is committed by a learner's license holder, 5 penalty points can cancel the learner's application.
